Brazilian Matured Coffee

in Cachaça-Aged Amburana Barrels

A Unique Experience for Coffee Connoisseurs

Discover the exceptional character of Café Nhá Dita, a product of Brazil's esteemed Vale da Grama region, a territory within the volcanic region encompassing 12 municipalities. Located at an altitude of over 1000 meters above sea level, this high-altitude environment contributes to the exceptional quality of our beans. We source premium grade 1 beans and entrust them to a unique maturation process: aging for up to 42 days in empty amburana barrels that have previously held cachaça for a full year. This innovative technique, inspired by the global appreciation for barrel-aged coffees, imbues our beans with an extraordinary depth of flavor. It's important to note that while our beans are aged in barrels that once contained cachaça, the final product is a premium coffee that contains no alcohol.

After the aged cachaça is removed, the amburana barrels are given a second life, dedicated to the special maturation of our coffee beans. During this period, the coffee absorbs the aromatic vapors still present within the wood, leading to fascinating chemical and physical reactions that transform the very essence of the bean, enhancing both its flavor and aroma.

Café Nhá Dita stands out for its distinctive and inviting aroma of bittersweet chocolate, coupled with a remarkably smooth flavor that is notably free from the traditional bitterness often associated with coffee. This is a refined and exclusive experience, crafted for those who seek to explore new dimensions of flavor and aroma in their coffee ritual.

While barrel aging is a method used worldwide, often employing barrels from bourbon, whiskey, rum, or wine, Café Nhá Dita stands apart. Our choice of amburana wood, native to South America and prized for its aromatic qualities, is further enhanced by its prior use in aging cachaça, Brazil's national spirit distilled from sugarcane. This previous life of the barrel infuses the coffee beans with subtle nuances from the cachaça, adding an intriguing layer to their inherent profile.

Experience the exceptional fusion of high-altitude Brazilian coffee, native amburana wood, and the subtle influence of aged cachaça in every sip of Café Nhá Dita. For your optimal enjoyment, Café Nhá Dita is available two different versions: roasted ground coffe beans and roasted coffe beans version.
